Today we look at commandment number five:
"Use strong verbs. Cut adjectives and adverbs."
No, not every time. But when you use an adjective, it often points to a weak verb in need of fortifying. Why not just fortify your verb? That's where the action is.
This commandment seems geeky, but if you are a songwriter, your words are tools. Sharpen them.
